The world today tells us that beauty rests in the hands of Prada bags, Stilletto heels, and designer tops and jeans that show off more skin than is necessary to give others a quick peek into life. We are told, THIS is beauty. All the hair products, clothes, jewelry, make up, this is what makes us gorgeous. But, in short, all this is is glorified pseudo-beauty. The covers of magazines and televisions shows depict women no larger than a size 2 wearing clothes and makeup that could break anyone’s bank, and all in the name of fashion. Everyday, women around the world look at these figures and wish they could be them. People go on binging diets, spend paychecks on a pair of shoes, keep food from their daughters in hopes they stay skinny, all in the name of glamour and acceptance. Well I’m here to tell you ladies, that no matter what Vogue or Glamour or that guy you are interested in says, you are beautiful. You are a princess. You are nothing short of amazing. And this may sound cliché, but it truly is inside that counts in the end. Any girl can spend thousands of dollars on a Prada bag, can spend two hours applying coat after coat of make up, can spend hours in the salon getting the “in” hair cut, but the true woman knows that all of that is essentially unnecessary. Of course, there is nothing wrong with feeling quite pretty every once in a while, but basing your life around the appearance that others want to see can only lead to heartache. Knowing yourself and understanding that your soul, heart, and mind are you true beacons of glamour and beauty is the key to being happy in the shallow pit of a world today.

 And guys, you must realize. The women that sit before you today, who fret with weight, style, and all those other silly things that you probably don’t pay attention to anyway, its all for you. So please, understand, the women in your life are your gift from God himself. They are a blessing, and nothing short of amazing. So don’t neglect them, don’t forget to tell them they are beautiful, and treat them with the best you can think. You don’t have to shower them with gifts or spend your paychecks on presents and expensive dinners. Just make sure she knows you love her, make sure she knows that you care and you know that she is beautiful. Make sure you treat her like a princess, for that is exactly what she is. And realize, when you pick on of those lovely ladies, when your heart finally sings out to one of them, that it is no longer about YOU. When you make that commitment or are handed true love, know that it is no longer a selfish game, and there are two involved. A true man understands that life is not about him, but its not about everyone else as well. A couple is about essentially that, the two involved. If one person concentrates on the couple, and the other concentrates only on him/herself, then that selfishness can only tear you apart. It is love and understanding that rules the day, not selfishness, vanity, greed, and jealousy. All that can bring is hatred and sadness to a world that was so full of beauty and love.

And if any of you guys or girls ever realize that something in your life is not quite as it should be, remember, now is always the time to change it. Apology may be your only option, but after it is done, it is on the other person to accept and forgive. Apologizing and being forgiven is one of the best ways to exhibit your trust in another person. Don’t ever let pride stand in the way of the fact that you have taken a misstep. We are all human, in the end, we make mistakes. What makes us extraordinary is manning up to those and fixing them.

Love yourself, as you are beautiful. Love your neighbor, as in turn, they are beautiful as well.
